MAKE YOUR OWN

I don't know about you but I loved dried foods.....raisins, jerky, tomatoes, any fruit basically πŸ˜‹

What I don't love is all the sugar that is added to these foods when processed πŸ‘Ž

The way I Keep It Real is to make my own dried foods with no added sugars keeping it as close to it's natural state as possible πŸ‘

One of my favorite, easy, and cheapest foods to dry are tomatoes.  Tomatoes are in season right now which is the perfect time to can, dry, or freeze any food.  Picking produce at it's peak and then preserving them for a later time in the year when they're not at their best ensures the highest quality of nutrients and flavor. You can enjoy your favorite foods at any time of the year πŸ™Œ

Here is a before and after of some fresh tomatoes I just oven roasted (at 200 degrees for at least 4 hours or more depending on how big of a batch).  Roasting them brings out their natural sugars and delivers a deliciously sweet addition to the fresh πŸ…

I use these tomatoes in my Tomato Basil Artisan Bread.  They give a natural sweetness to this savory bread. 🍞  Fresh out of the oven spread with organic butter on top is the perfect accompaniment to any dinner.  Or.....you can just have it by itself.....it tastes like pizza disguised in bread form....yumm!
