LOCAL BUSINESS PRACTICES SUSTAINABILITY

I think it's important to promote local businesses who practice sustainability 🌿🏡

 Today, it just so happens that I am going to promote my own:  Garcia Bread Co.

 I have been preaching here for a while now the importance of sustainability and am also practicing what I preach
This is how Garcia Bread Co. is keeping it real:


  • All of my bread products have a minimal ingredient list in which you can pronounce and should be familiar with.  There are no preservatives or chemicals or anything unidentifiable in any of our products.
  • I either grow myself, know someone personally who is local who grows, or shop at local farmers markets for many of my ingredients.  If I am not able to do that for all ingredients, I buy either organic, grass fed, local, or all natural ingredients so you can be sure that my breads are sustainable.
  • All breads are made by me personally in my home kitchen where I ensure the highest quality measures are going into each and every loaf myself!
  • I believe in supporting a sustainable system at a competitive price selling directly to the consumer (eliminating the middle man) ensuring the use of local home grown products resulting in all natural, delicious breads 🍞🥖

IT'S NATIONAL FLUFFERNUTTER DAY

What is a Fluffernutter?? A Fluffernutter is basically a peanut butter and marshmallow cream ( fluff ) sandwich 🥜🍞 If you've never had one.....you should.....just to try, they're delicious but filling and full of sugar thanks to the highly processed marshmallow creme.  At Garcia Bread Co ., we don't have a Fluffernutter flavor so we're going to celebrate with our new addition to our family:  Banana Peanut Butter Chip   🍌🥜available in loaf, muffin, or baked donut form 🙌👏: A unique combination of fresh bananas and sweet and salty creamy peanut butter chips all throughout the batter. This is so decadent it feels like a treat or dessert but is so nutritious it can be enjoyed as a quick breakfast any day of the week.  And, remember.....all of our products have no added sugar (sweetened with applesauce and honey ) and no added saturated fats (a small amount of sunflower oil which is rich in vitamins ....especially E , and antioxidants to stay moist and flavor...

I MADE IT!

I did it!! 20 Day Challenge is successfully completed!!! Here is what I learned from this experience: You can do ANYTHING for 20 days! Eating real, whole foods all the time keeps you satisfied with more energy and feeling better about yourself. It forced me to eat better and be creative in getting the best nutrition into my body it gave me new, healthy recipes that I didn't know existed I will do this again....maybe a few times a year I am proud of myself 👏 While I am excited I completed the challenge, I will need to be careful in introducing certain foods back into my diet; sugars, etc.... I know I am going to limit my fried and processed foods if at all.......no real benefits to them.....with that said.....Where are the jelly beans????  If you know me, you know I love my Easter candy.....in moderation people....in moderation 🙌                                     ...
