DID YOU DO A GOOD DEED TODAY?
KEEPING IT REAL MAY BE EASIER FOR SOME THAN OTHERS
If you are fortunate enough to have food on the table every night ๐ฝ, fresh produce at your fingertips๐๐ฝ, and a stocked pantry and fridge๐ฅ, then, you are among one of us lucky ones.....and we should not take this for granted ๐
I am fortunate to have access to fresh fruit, especially from local farmers and growers right here in my backyard ๐ถ๐๐ but that's not the case for everyone.....even people in our direct community unfortunately ๐
I have decided to keep it real my way by donating to the less fortunate.....our homeless and low income community who don't have the resources I have but have the same rights that I have to have access to fresh food.
Almost every weekday morning, Garcia Bread Co. operates our food truck in various parts of Placer County selling our homemade muffins and baked donuts๐ฉ along with a fresh hot coffee bar ☕Whatever we don't sell that day, we discount the next day for 50% off to our customers. If we don't sell that, we personally go to the homeless community and hand them our healthy, nutritious products (which they so appreciate) and let them know that we want them to also enjoy the benefits of a healthy diet.
Income and housing situations should not determine the level of quality of nutrition a person has.
We should all have access to the same high quality nutrition.
That's why I love Ron Finley: The Guerilla Gardener! He has made it his mission to transform the streets of South Central LA to allow everyone, regardless of income, the access to fresh food.

We should all do our part.....BIG or small ๐
