NEW YEAR.....NEW YOU!
If you haven't made a New Year's resolution yet, I have one for you:
Be more "clean and sustainable"
It's not about losing weight or going down a dress or pant size, it's about getting healthier and taking better care of your body 🍏🍒🥛
The saying is actually true: YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!
So.....why not put the best possible ingredients you can into your body??
If you are a meat eater (which I am), remember.....you are eating what the animal you're eating is eating. "Grass Fed" animals have the best nutrition because they are eating what their body is meant for them to be eating. They are less likely to get sick, are healthier because they are eating a healthy diet, and are active and lean because they roam around freely all day. It is the ultimate lifestyle for them....and eventually.....us humans 🐄🤠🤝
I've said it before but it's worth repeating: Support your local Farmers and buy your produce, etc local farmers markets. All the Farmers/Growers are local so products don't have far to travel and are fresher. The products are in season so have a better quality and taste. Many are organic so there are less chemicals/pesticides being sprayed on products. And.....you are supporting our local economy and putting money back into our own community. If we don't support our farmers, they can't continue to provide for us the superior products that they grow/raise.
I visited a local dairy farm yesterday and witnessed first hand the lifestyle and settings of many animals living and providing for us sustainably. The animals were happy, clean, well fed, healthy, and had lots of room to live openly and freely within their own community.
I also purchased some finished products from these animals and I can't tell you enough how much more superior an egg or butter or cream is when it's fresh. local, and organic and straight from the source.....superb!
Keep It Real and see for yourself what all they hype is 🙌 You'll do your body good 🤸
EMU EGG
SCRAMBLED EMU EGG
This was the first time I have tried an egg from an emu and was pleasantly surprised. One egg, I would say, is the equivalent of about 6-8 chicken eggs. The yolk is obviously bigger so the egg is richer and more creamy. A little goes a long way. One egg fed our whole family and then some.
I encourage you to try a new product that you have never seen or tried before each time you visit the Farmers Market and expand your palate. You may also be pleasantly surprised at what you find 🤠
